I was recently invited to attend a hardhat tour and unveiling event for a new Disney-close Anaheim hotel: the Grand Legacy At The Park hotel. The dramatic expansion of this popular Anaheim hotel which is currently operating as the Ramada Maingate At the Park, is set to be finished by February 2016!

NewHotelBeginning in Februrary 2016, the Grand Legacy At The Park hotel will become Anaheim’s latest independent hotel. The property, previously under the Ramada brand, has operated as the Ramada Maingate At The Park for the past 17 years. The $10 million development and renovation make this hotel the latest star in Anaheim’s evolving hotel inventory. grand-legacy-at-the-park-hotel-rooftop-viewThe Garr family has maintained ownership of this popular lodging location (directly across the street from Disneyland Park®) since 1974, and will remain owners of the newly minted Grand Legacy At The Park hotel. grand-legacy-at-the-park-hotel-pool

We’ve been in Anaheim since 1974 and I’m very proud of my family’s hotel legacy here. I’ve grown up in Anaheim’s close-knit hospitality industry and look forward to this next step in our growth. We will continue to honor our family’s heritage built on hospitality and now offer our guests more reasons to enjoy our new hotel with enhanced guest rooms, amenities and public spaces. 5 Comments on New Disney-Close Anaheim Hotel: Grand Legacy At The Park to Open in Early 2016

  1. I did not see anything about parking expansion. Cparking was difficult before the expansion. Customer reviews I’ve read since the expansion have indicated that parking is now atrocious. We’ve always liked the hotel, but we drive to California. The hotel, particularly now. seems to be aiming more for guests who fly and don’t plan to rent a car for their vacation.

    • Thank you for your question. At this time, the hotel will not be expanding parking, but they will have 24/7 complimentary Valet to help with parking. Parking is $5.00 plus tax per car per night. (which is far less than any other property I’ve stayed at around the Resort area).

  2. I understand the rooftop bar and lounge will not be ready until March. But will the rooftop be accessible at all in February?

    • According to the hotel, the rooftop bar will not be available until its completion in March. It’s going to be amazing though. (I went on a hardhat tour up there at sunset.)

  3. Thank you for this wonderful information. Are room designs changing do you know? From what I see they do not offer any suite type hotel room, which is fine, just curious. We will be traveling and staying at this location in the end of May with our daughter and my parents have decided to join us. Debating now if one room will be big enough 🙂
