Get a Free Total Cost Analysis at Orange County’s Credit Union + Enter to Win a $200 Gift Card

This is a sponsored post in partnership with Orange County’s Credit Union. All opinions are my own.

I love living in Southern California. The weather is beautiful and sunny almost year-round, there is so much outdoor recreation to enjoy, and it’s the hub of great restaurants, entertainment and attractions to enjoy with your family.
There’s also a lot to be said about settling down in Southern California with all of its amenities, including some of the top school districts in the state. With that being said, let’s talk about home buying. It’s very exciting but can also be overwhelming. Whether you’re a first-time buyer or a seasoned homeowner looking to move, with what seems to be an ever-changing housing market here in Southern California, it’s important to understand the loan and financing options available to you based on your needs and to be knowledgeable about all of your options before you start looking at properties.orange-countys-credit-union-outsideI was invited to Orange County’s Credit Union for a one-on-one appointment with an Orange County’s Credit Union Mortgage Loan Consultant for a complimentary Total Cost Analysis. I was excited to discuss my options in order to decide if purchasing a new home or refinancing our current home makes the most sense for our family right now.
total-cost-analysis-orange-county-credit-union-1A Total Cost Analysis provides clear advice and simple side-by-side comparisons of your options, costs, and savings, all personalized to your unique needs. Here are some examples of what you’ll receive during a Total Cost Analysis:

  • a comparison of renting versus owning
  • the cost of waiting so you don’t miss the right opportunity at the right time
  • potential tax benefits
  • your home’s equity appreciation

Orange County’s Credit Union has introduced a zero-down mortgage offering to help eliminate putting thousands of dollars down up front so I really wanted to explore that and obtain more information about the product.

total-cost-analysis-orange-county-credit-union-3For our family, we found it was more beneficial on the financial standpoint, to buy a home, rather than renting one, mainly because of the tax benefits you receive as a homeowner. With that being said, purchasing a home can also seem tricky. It can also be overwhelming. However, it doesn’t have to be. Although I’m a current homeowner, I found the process very helpful in providing me with the best information about my current options.

Know Before You Go
Here’s a helpful list of items to gather before your own Total Cost Analysis Appointment. For purchase, you can get started with as little as the proposed purchase price and amount of your down payment.
If you’re a current homeowner, some recommended items include:

  • Current Mortgage Statement
  • Homeowner’s Insurance Declarations page
  • Property Tax bill

total-cost-analysis-orange-county-credit-union-2It’s important to work with someone you can relate to and build trust with when you’re going through the home-buying process. That’s why having a trusted partner, such as one of the Mortgage Loan Consultants at Orange County’s Credit Union, who is local, experienced, and accessible will provide the guidance and peace of mind you need to obtain the home loan that meets your needs. If you’re considering either purchasing a home or refinancing your own, I’d definitely recommend a visit to Orange County’s Credit Union for your own Total Cost Analysis. To save time, this can also be done right over the phone. In addition to great rates and loan products, a Membership there also provides so many other benefits. You’re eligible for Membership if you live or work in Orange or Riverside Counties or the neighboring communities of Long Beach, Lakewood, Cerritos, or Signal Hill. If you don’t live or work in the area, you may also qualify through your employer or if your immediate family member already banks with them. Orange County’s Credit Union offers all the services you’d want from a bank, but it’s owned by Members, not shareholders.

At Disneyland Park

  • In anticipation of the new Disney•Pixar film “Coco,” guests will enjoy the Coco Sneak Peek experience at Bug’s Life theater from Nov. 5-Jan. 7, along with special décor.
  • “a bug’s land” transforms for the holidays, too, as Flik and his bug friends deck their land with oversized lights and ornaments.
  • Carthay Circle along Buena Vista Street features a 1920s-inspired holiday theme to emulate Los Angeles as it appeared when Walt Disney first moved to California. A stunning, 50-foot Christmas tree features vintage-style ornaments and surrounding buildings are adorned in old-fashioned seasonal decorations.

5 Things You’ll Love Most About Working Out at Curves®

This is a sponsored post. All opinions are 100% my own.

A little over a month ago, had the opportunity to join the Curves® community in my city. I had driven past it so many times and was always curious to see what it was like.curves-workout-3

curves-laguna-niguelfacCurves® is a one-stop-shop for every woman’s fitness needs offering a 30 minute, total-body workout with No Makeup, No Men, and No Mirrors. When you enroll in the Curves Fitness® Program, you’re able to participate in circuit classes, utilizing strength training machines, which are designed to burn fat, increase strength, and kick start weight loss.curves-workout-1Curves® recently celebrated its 25th birthday. Wow, 25 years of empowering women to take control of their health and fitness levels! curves-birthday-2I was excited to participate in their birthday celebration on one of the days I went to work out.curves-birthday-1I want to share about my experience with you and share 5 Things (I think) you’ll love most about working out at Curves.curves-list

  • The Curves Community – The moment you walk into a Curves location, you can feel the sense of community. You’ll feel so supported by all of the ladies there. People are friendly, they know your name, they say “hi”. Every time you come in to workout again, you’re greeted by name at the front desk and by the instructors on the floor and the other women there start to remember you. To have someone genuinely ask about how you’re doing and support you, is something really special. The support of other women can really help strengthen your spirit.  Get ready to embrace new friendships
  • One-on-one training and guidance with Curves coaches – Unlike other fitness clubs, your membership at Curves comes with 5 training sessions with a Coach. It not only gives you peace of mind to be walked through the circuit and be properly taught on how to use the strength resistance machines, but it will also help you build confidence to come back and do it all on your own.curves-stretch-area
  • Increased Strength.- After you’ve worked out at Curves for a couple of weeks, you’ll begin to feel increased strength. A strong body helps make everything you do easier and can help prevent common health problems like joint pain and osteoporosis.curves-workout-2
  • Better balance in your life – Having a regular routine scheduled, which includes a workout at Curves a few times (or more) per week, can really help you gain better balance in your life. At just 30 minutes per workout, you can take that time to clear your mind and just relax and refresh.
  • Your new look – After you’ve established a regular workout routine, many things seem to follow. As I mentioned, you’ll have increased strength, as well as a lot more energy. You’ll feel that sense of balance in your life too. I think overall, you’re going to have a new outlook on life and, in turn, it’ll give you a new look. Whether you’ve set and achieved fitness goals or you’ve achieved other goals such as maintaining a regular workout schedule, it’s likely that you’ll have a new look about you, one that others will notice. Several people have already asked me what I’m doing and have commented about how great I look!curves-love-your-new-look

knotts-spooky-farm-timber-mountainThis Halloween season, the Timber Mountain Log Ride mystically converts into the Halloween Hootenanny by adding a new family friendly twist to a park favorite. Every year the citizens of the Timber Mountain invite the mysterious creatures that live out in the woods and caverns of the area to join them as they celebrate the season at the Halloween Hootenanny. The ride’s interior will feature new fun surprises as guests venture past the Calico Coffin Creeper band, the town’s green witch and splash down Skull Mountain through a labyrinth of jack-o-lanterns. The seasonal ride will also feature an original song performed by Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies. Open for day and night guests, this is the perfect family experience for all to enjoy this Halloween season.knotts-spooky-farm-calaverasIn Fiesta Village, join the Dia de Los Muertos Celebration in the Fiesta Stage area for an interactive, non-scary, educational celebration of the season.
